Slippery Roads and Structure Fire Part of Morning Obstacles for Drivers

As the temperature hovers right around the freezing mark this morning road crews are being called out in Penobscot County as some side roads are nothing but ice.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department reporting people sliding off the roadway in the Hermon area.

Penobscot County Regional Dispatch says the Pine Tree and Lake Roads area of Hermon is currently shutdown as fire crews from several community work on a structure fire.

No details are yet available but fire fighter’s from Hermon, Levant, Hampden and Bangor have been called in to fight the blaze on the Pine Tree Road.
