Those are words of advice from Penobscot County Sheriff Glenn Ross and the Maine State Police following an increase in home invasions over the past few weeks, with the most recent happening last night in Orrington.

Two suspects are now being sought and you're being encouraged to come forward with any information that might be helpful.

Penobscot County Sheriff Glenn Ross says they're looking for a vehicle described as a gold or silver, small SUV cross-over type vehicle, two-toned with the darker color on the bottom which was parked on the Brewer Lake Road last night between 7:30 and 8:00pm.

The armed home invasion is one of several that has taken place over the last few weeks according to Sheriff Ross.

"We've had home invasions that have occurred from Alton to Orono, to Hampden to Holden, Orrington, so these have occurred throughout the region, and we're telling people to use general precautions," states Ross.
