After pulling through this last winter, the memory of ocean gales are still fresh in the minds of Mainers and they've been recorded by a wind turbine prototype created by the University of Maine's Advanced Structures and Composites Center.

It's a mixed bag of weather this morning in Maine with snow reported in Piscataquis County and a mix of snow and rain elsewhere.

Flood warnings and watches posted by the National Weather Service remain in effect throughout much of the state as rivers and streams are swollen.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, and for me, it's personal.

While one might recount a personal experience by claiming "I have this friend...," this story is very personal, and it is about a dear friend.

This April, fifteen years after her brutal attack, we've decided together that I should tell her story again in hope that other victims of sexual assault will come forward and report the crime to police.
