This Saturday, you can browse fine art, pottery, photography, and more while helping an organization that provides cancer screenings for women.

It's the perfect place to do some early Christmas shopping! Designing Women will host the event that will feature 21 artists displaying everything from fiber art, ceramics, glass, jewelry, paintings, photography, and much more! It's a great way to have some fun, do some shopping, and help a very worthy cause. In addition, you're showing support for these local artisans!

Caring Connections Breast and Cervical Health Program is a collaborative between Eastern Maine Medical Center and the Bangor Y, and provides valuable services for area women. Those 40 and older who are uninsured or under-insured can get no-cost pap tests, mammograms, and related services through the program.

The Designing Women Fine Art and Craft Show is being held this Saturday, November 7th, form 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Husson University's Richard E. Dyke Center For Family Business. All the donations at the door and from food and drink will be donated to Caring Connections.

Designing Women has been bridging art and community since 1991: building a supportive group for women artists, and a way for them to give back to their communities.
