State Police are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in Bar Harbor Saturday afternoon.

The body was found about noon at the intersection of Route 3 and West Street by a State Police canine.

The body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta for autopsy and identification. The identification likely will take place on Sunday, according to police.

Police on Sunday identified the body as that of Mikaela Conley, 19, of Bar Harbor. She was last seen on Friday.

The Bar Harbor Police and Fire Departments, along with the Maine Warden Service, and Maine Marine Patrol, have assisted State Police detectives throughout the day.

State Police are asking to speak with anyone who might have information about the case to call State Police in Bangor at 973-3700.
