Woman Found Dead Inside Augusta Apartment Building

A woman was found dead inside an apartment at in Augusta on Tuesday.

The Kennebec Journal reports the body of the woman, who has not been identified, was found inside an apartment at 37 Water Street. Officials say the woman may have died several weeks ago.

Police responded to a call from the property managers on Tuesday morning. The body was removed and sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for identification.

The death is considered suspicious.
