Maine Person Mistakenly Got $2M in Possible Fentanyl in the Mail
A Winslow Resident Mistakenly received two deliveries of pills Police believe to be fentanyl.
A Package the Recipient Hadn't Ordered Contained Many Bags of Pills
Winslow Deputy Police Chief Randy Wing says the resident received an unexpected package in the mail that they had not ordered. When the resident opened up the package, they found multiple bags of pills and contacted police, letting them know that they had received the drugs by mistake. A second package containing more pills was delivered on Saturday.

Police Tested the Bag and Say It's Likely Fentanyl
Police seized the packages and examined the pills which tested presumptively positive for fentanyl, which is a potent synthetic opioid. The total weight of the pills, between the two packages, is approximately 29 1/2 pounds, with an estimated street value of as much as $2 million.
