
Winslow Fire Intentionally Set, Occupant In Protective Custody
The sole occupant of a home that burned in Winslow has been hospitalized and taken into protective custody.
The Only Person In the Home During the Fire Was Taken to the Hospital
Winslow Police have taken Joseph Forestell, 40, into protective custody and transported him to a local hospital for evaluation.
Officials Called in the State Fire Marshals Office to Determine a Cause
Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the Winslow Fire Department responded to a structure fire at approximately 11:43 Monday night. Fire officials then requested the State Fire Marshal's Office to investigate the origin and cause of the fire at 328 Abbott Road in Winslow.
Investigators Say the Fire Was the Result of Arson
During the investigation, the Fire Marshal's Office determined that the fire had been intentionally set. The sole occupant of the home, Mr. Forestell, was taken into protective custody and taken to a local hospital.
