Waterville Man Charged With Murder for a February Shooting
A Waterville man is facing charges for a fatal shooting earlier this year.
The Maine Man is Accused of Killing Another From Winslow
Tyler Quirion, 20, of Waterville was arrested on Friday, September 20th. He's charged with:
- Murder
- Manslaughter
- Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
He's accused of killing Justin Iraola, 22, of Winslow.
Police Say the Shooting Happened on Grove Street in Waterville
The shooting was reported just after 8:00 on the morning of February 19, 2024. Police found Iraola deceased at 18 Grove Street in Waterville. At first, it was reported that a second person had been shot but police later determined that no one else was hurt. Iraola's death was ruled a homicide and the Chief Medical Examiner determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Quirion is Being Held Without Bail
After an extensive investigation into the shooting conducted by the Waterville Police and the Maine State Police, Quirion was indicted. He's been taken to the Kennebec County Jail and is being held without bail.
