Want Anything From The Vending Machine, My Treat
The remaining few snacks are so old and out of date that I’m wondering if eating them would prevent Covid. They might be the equivalent to the vaccine.
Don’t worry, everybody brings their own snacks from home, or runs out to the store down at the end of the block when the mood hits.
If I had to guess, I’d say that the last time the snack machines at the radio station were filled was March of 2020. Until recently the building had been on lock down and whoever owns and stocks the vending machines couldn’t enter and keep the stock fresh and fully stocked. Here is hoping the gentleman that used to do that is healthy and happy and getting through life without the few bucks he made from the staff here.
Going forward, I’ve put a few snacks in my desk drawer, just in case. Luckily snacks are that high on my priority list at work anyway. But this is America. “Don’t mess with our snacks”
Wonder how many small companies like ours are moving forward without vending machines. Everyone loves convenience, but if you just plan for things and bring in what you need to get through the day, the future probably isn’t too bright for vending machines.
If the machine next to the snack machine dispensed beer instead of soda then we would be onto something.
Meanwhile, it’s power bars and nuts in my desk drawer if my stomach starts to growl.
