Original story: A Walpole woman is being held without bail after allegedly shooting and wounding her husband during a domestic dispute.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said in a post on the department's Facebook page that the incident happened on Friday on Clarks Cove Road in Walpole. The woman was charged with Domestic Violence Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon and Aggravated Assault after allegedly shooting her husband with a handgun.

The man was treated at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta and Maine Medical Center in Portland for a non-life-threatening injury before being released. Officials haven't released many details about the incident, but say the couple was involved in a 'domestic dispute' when the incident happened.

The woman was taken into custody on Sunday in Brunswick and taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail. Officials say, due to the nature of the crime, she's being held without bail pending her first court appearance sometime this week.
