Four People Arrested on Drug Charges After Veazie House Search
Four people are facing charges after a house in Veazie was searched and police seized fentanyl and other drugs.
Where Did This Happen?
Veazie Police Chief Mark Leonard says the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department's Special Response Team aided his Officers in executing a search warrant at the home located at 28 Hobson Avenue. That warrant was obtained after a month-long investigation into drug trafficking from the residence.
Who Was Arrested?
Four people were arrested as a result of the search:
- Richard Curtis, 50, of Veazie, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.
- Christopher Mansell, 50, of Veazie, who was arrested for aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.
- Angel Allen, 41, of Bangor, who was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
- George Purvis, 34, of Bangor, who was charged with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
Police released mugshots of all of the suspects, except for Allen.
What Drugs Were Found in the Home?
During the search of the residence, officials seized mushrooms, prescription drugs, marijuana, and fentanyl. Officials say this investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
