Thunderstorms Knock Out Power For More Than 1,700 Emera Maine Customers
Emera Maine said Wednesday morning that crews were working to restore power to customers in Penobscot County after severe thunderstorms swept through in the area.
The company said several utility poles were damaged.
The utility reported just before 6 a.m. on its website that 1,793 customers were without power. More than 1,200 of those outages were in Penobscot County.
The company said crews would work through the day to repair the damage.
