Maine Law Takes Aim at the ‘MILF Mobile’ + ‘Vulgar’ Plates

The owner of the "MILF Mobile" is not a happy camper.

Remember when you were a kid, and you would spend the time on a road trip playing "The License Plate Game?" It consisted of trying to spot plates from out of state, or in later years, a funny vanity plate? Well, in the last few years, the state of Maine kind of put an end to that back in 2015, when a law was passed that gave free rein to any kind of vanity plate Maine drivers wanted. Back in January of this year, Sen. William Diamond introduced a new bill to ban them, and it was signed into law last month.

Maine resident Brittney Glidden has been cruising all over the 207 in a minivan, affectionately known as the "MILF Mobile" which is on her rear windshield. Brittney also has an NSFW license plate and several racy bumper stickers. She has become something of a celebrity because I have seen so many people spot her vehicle on the road, and then snapped pictures that were then posted to various forms of social media.

As you can imagine, Brittney also has many, many detractors as well. There are hundreds of vanity plates on the road that would make you cover your kids' eyes, that are far worse than hers, but Glidden has decided to take a stand, and not return the plate, and is planning a lawsuit because she feels her First Amendment rights have been violated.

How do you feel about some of the risque plates you have seen on the road in Maine?
