The Portland City Council Bans E-Cigarettes From Public Places
The Portland City Council has approved a measure prohibiting the use of e-cigarettes in public places.
The measure approved by the city council Monday night adds e-cigarettes to the city's anti-smoking ordinance.
In 2013, the ordinance was updated to prohibit smoking in public places like parks and beaches.
The new rules regarding e-cigs take effect in 30 days.
Portland is the 275th U.S. city or county to ban smoking e-cigs in public spaces.
