You can get in on the Kentucky Derby fun this evening at the Historic Bangor Raceway.

The 130th season of harness racing opens today, on horse racing's biggest day-the running of the Kentucky Derby.

Bangor Race way opens today starting at 1:00pm and will be open until 8:00pm tonight with a special viewing of the Kentucky Derby with a post time of 6:24pm.

Following today's opening day, harness racing continues every Monday, Tuesday and Friday, through July 20th.

Since Hollywood Slots has operated the Raceway purses have tripled according to Raceway Operations Director Mike Hopkins.
