A man wanted in Tennessee for allegedly stabbing his husband in a Walmart was caught by authorities in Maine.

The Fugitive Was Wanted for a Stabbing Incident

Larry Wayne Cole III, 19, of Liberty, Tennessee is facing charges in that state connected to a stabbing that resulted in a felony charge.

Tennesee Police Say the Alleged Stabbing Was a Domestic Dispute in Walmart

According to the Gallatin, Tennessee, Police Department, officers were called to a Walmart store in that community just after 6:00 on the morning of July 30th for a report of a domestic dispute that involved a stabbing. Larry Wayne Cole III had allegedly stabbed his husband, Daniel Cole, and then fled the scene in a 2023 Volkswagen Jetta, bearing Tennessee plates that say 'LARRY.'

Daniel Cole was taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Cole is Facing an Attempted Murder Charge in His Home State

The Franklin County Jail has Larry Wayne Cole III listed as an inmate arrested in Farmington, Maine on Monday, August 5th. Sheriff Scott Nichols of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office says Border Patrol was alerted just after midnight on Monday morning of a vehicle at a former border crossing in Lowelltown, which is located in Northern Franklin County, above Coburn Gore. Border Agents located the vehicle and its driver on the 400 Road. The man was identified as Larry Cole II, 19, of Tennessee and officials learned that he was wanted for Criminal Attempted First Degree Murder. He was delivered to the Franklin County Jail where he was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice.
