Strong Storm to Bring Wind + Rain to Downeast Maine Tuesday
Power outages are possible Tuesday, as a strong storm will bring wind and rain to Maine.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a blustery day, Tuesday. Forecasters say:
"A large area of low pressure will intensify south of Cape Cod today and slowly track north toward the southern Gulf of Maine. This will bring some rain into the Downeast region along with increasing wind, especially along the coast"
The windy conditions along the coast will continue overnight, into Wednesday.
WABI says power outages are possible, as winds could peak at 50-55 MPH at times. The Bangor area could see gusts to 30 MPH. Areas of northern Maine will likely remain dry Tuesday, with occasional gusts to 20 MPH.
