Spaghetti, Live Music Sunday In Brewer To Help Local Family
Local musicians will gather in Brewer this weekend, to remember a good friend who passed away recently, after a 3-year battle with cancer.
Deborah Bailey Boulier and her husband Al are well-known in the Maine musical community. Al has worked with the band Desperado and they were always helping out whenever there was a fundraiser. Known for their huge Christmas light display and even bigger hearts, Deb and Al have always been beloved in the music and local community. As a matter of fact, their home was one of the destinations for our app-based Christmas light contest last year.
Earlier this month, Deb passed away, without realizing her goal of celebrating her granddaughter's birthday, and attending this fundraiser. Now, the musical community has changed the focus of the event into a way to remember and honor Deb's memory, while raising money to help Al cover her final expenses.
So on Sunday, from Noon to 5 at the Brewer Eagles Club, several local bands will perform in her memory. There will be a spaghetti supper and a silent auction, with some great items up for bid. Admission is a suggested donation of $10, but if you can't afford that much, pay what you can. And if you can pay more, Al and the rest of the family will be very grateful.
The musical lineup starts with Whiskey Bent, followed by Uncrowned Kings, Crossroads, the Rick Carter Band, and Overdrive (which is reuniting specifically for this event). Find more information on the event's Facebook page. Anyone who can't attend, but would still like to donate can do so through GoFundMe.
