Searsport Man Died When Mobile Home Collapsed

A Searsport  man was killed on Friday when the mobile home he was working on collapsed.

54-year-old Danny McFarlin died in the accident Friday morning. He was working underneath the trailer, trying to get the it elevated, so they could move it. As he worked to establish some bracing, the load shifted and the trailer collapsed on top of him. McFarland was declared dead at the scene at 16 Pond Road just after 9:00 Friday morning.

The victim's brother, Dale McFarlin, told WVII-TV they were moving the trailer because they could no longer afford the lot lease.
