Maine Man Arrested After Allegedly Kicking a Victim in the Face
Rockland Police have arrested a suspect for an attack that involved kicking a victim in the face.
The Suspect is Charged with Felony Aggravated Assault
Robert Barter, 60, of South Thomaston is charged with criminal threatening and felony aggravated assault.

Officials Say the Victim Suffered Significant Injuries to Their Face
It was just after midnight on Sunday when Rockland Police officers responded to a reported assault in progress. Witnesses told authorities they saw the victim on their hands and knees, repeatedly being kicked in the face. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim nearby and saw blood in the roadway. The victim was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center with significant facial injuries.
Barter was detained at the scene and charged shortly thereafter. Police found a small amount of white powder on Barter's person and so he may face more charges pending further testing.
