Snow lovers won't enjoy the weekend forecast, as rain returns to much of Maine.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain mixing with snow this weekend. The Bangor and Downeast Areas can expect most of the precipitation from a Saturday storm to fall as rain. Northern areas see snow, with light accumulations. A changeover to rain is expected at times as far north as Presque Isle. The Bangor area will likely see less than an inch of new snowfall. The Greenville area will likely see most of the snow, with 4 to 6 inches expected.

Winds will be breezy in the late afternoon Saturday, with gusts 20 to 30 MPH possible.
