If you attended the last RibFest we held the summer before last at Bass Park in Bangor, you remember the headline artist on Saturday night was Joe Diffie. You may not know he was under the weather that night, but as he said backstage 'The show must go on'.

Grand Ole Opry member. Check. ACM Award winner. Check. Grammy Award winner. Check. Good guy. Check. DJ. Check.

Joe released his first album in 1990, and will be remembered for his 30 singles that hit the charts. Ships That Don't Come In. Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die). IF The Devil Danced. Honky Tonk Attitude. Third Rock From The Sun. Bigger Than The Beatles. John Deere Green. Pickup Man.

He is survived by 5 children and his wife Tara. R.I.P. Joe. Nice to know you, if only a little bit.,
