Police Seek Suspect In Armed Robbery At Convenience Store
State Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a robbery at a China convenience store.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the robbery happened at around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at the Circle K, located on Lakeview Drive in China. A man dressed in blue jeans with a black hooded jacket and mask walked into the store, armed with a firearm. He demanded money from the cashier and then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say no shots were fired and no one was hurt in the incident. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery. The China Circle K is open 24/7.
A K9 search was conducted in the area, but no suspect was located. Police ask that anyone who was in the store between 4:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., or anyone who thinks they recognize the man in the surveillance images, to call State Police at 624-7076.
