Maine State Police Say A Pittston Homeowner Shot An Intruder
Maine State Police are investigating after a person allegedly trespassing in a home was shot by the homeowner.
Have Police Identified the Shooter or the Injured?
The names of the people involved have not been released. At this time, it's unknown if the two people know each other.

What Happened?
It was approximately 8:46 Monday evening when the Maine State Police received a 911 call from someone at 41 Palmer Road in Pittston. The caller said that his door had been kicked in and that he had shot the intruder.
How Badly Was the Alleged Intruder Hurt?
When Troopers arrived, they found an injured man, who was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland. The individual is being treated and is expected to survive.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Aaron Turcotte says this investigation is ongoing and additional information is expected to be released later.
