Falling Ice Forces Temporary Closure of Penobscot Narrows Bridge

UPDATE: The Penobscot Bridge has reopened to traffic as of 10:25 a.m.

Travelers are advised to avoid the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, as it has been temporarily closed to traffic.

The Penobscot Narrows Bridge between Verona Island and Prospect has been closed by the Department of Transportation Monday. The temporary closure is due to ice falling off the bridge cables.
