Penobscot County Sheriff's Deputies, along with members of the Brewer Police and Fire departments from both communities responded to the scene on Route 15 in Orrington, near Hatfield Road. Officials Say It Appears the Pickup Crossed the Center Line and Hit the Sedan
An initial investigation into the circumstances of the crash indicates the Ford F-150 was traveling south when it crossed the center line at a high rate of speed and struck the sedan head-on. The impact forced the sedan off the road and into a tree. The truck came to rest facing north in the northbound lane.
A portion of Route 15 was closed to traffic for a time while the reconstruction crews worked and the scene was cleared. This crash remains under investigation.
