An Orrington man faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly shooting another man in Downtown Bangor.

Bangor Police responded to the corner of Harlow and Franklin Streets just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, after hearing multiple gunshots. Almost immediately after arriving on the scene, patrol officers located Jordan David Bishop, 32, and took him into custody. Bishop was leaving the building at 114-118 Harlow Street at the time of his arrest. Located at that address is Tesoro Pizzeria.

At that same address, police found a man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital by Bangor Fire Department paramedics, where he was treated for his injuries and released.

Bishop is charged with attempted murder and is being held at the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. So far, there's no word on a possible motive for the crime.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
