Orono Police Identify a Person Killed in a Motorcycle-SUV Crash
Police have identified a person riding a motorcycle who was killed when his bike struck a vehicle in Orono.
Have Police Released the Names of The People Involved?
Brandon Martins, 31, was operating the motorcycle when the crash happened. He died at the scene. The driver of the SUV, whose name has not been released, was not hurt. Martins was wearing a helmet.
How Did the Crash Happen?
Police told WABI-TV that the person on the motorcycle was trying to pass several vehicles while speeding on Main Street in Orono Monday morning when they struck a vehicle that was turning into Penobscot Valley Dermatology. No one else was hurt in the crash.
Orono Police will continue to investigate this crash.
