Seth Barden, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place near the intersection with Fourth Street shortly before 10 AM.

A reconstruction team made up of both personnel from Old Town and Bangor Police departments were on hand, for quite some time.

As of 4 PM, power crews were still on scene, and the road was still closed, as they tried to secure the area and make it safe, once again, for travel. Traffic attempting to get through that area of Old Town was backed up for blocks.
