A road crew worker placing cones on the roadway was hurt in a collision with a tractor-trailer.

The Maine Construction Worker Sustained Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

Charles Miller, 24, of Enfield sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. The rig's driver, Boureima Dicko, 38, of Allentown, Pennsylvania was not hurt.

A Construction Vehicle Was Struck by a Tractor Trailer

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the crash happened at approximately 2:15 Tuesday afternoon on I-95 southbound. A worker from Northeast Paving was placing cones on the highway for an upcoming paving project near mile marker 157 in Newport when the tractor-trailer struck the construction vehicle.

A Pennsylvania Man Was Driving the Tractor Trailer in the Newport Crash

Miller was thrown from the construction vehicle and was subsequently transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Dicko, who is employed by JT Freight Inc. of Des Plaine, Illinois, was not hurt.
