NC Man Arrested, Another Being Sought In Millinocket Home Invasion
State police say a man has been arrested and another is being sought in North Carolina in connection with last week's deadly home invasion in Millinocket.
Christopher Murray, 38, was arrested Wednesday in Maxton, North Carolina, Maine State Police said in a news release Thursday night.
Tony Locklear, 43, who is believed to still be in the Maxton area, is being sought by police.
Murray is being held as a fugitive from justice. "He will face a murder charge upon his return to Maine, as will Locklear, once he is apprehended," Steven McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said in the release.
They’re accused of shooting Wayne Lapierre last week in his Millinocket home. He later died at the hospital. His wife was also wounded in the attack.
