The historic Bangor Opera House will be ringing with the sounds of outlaw country.

The Penobscot Theatre Company will be hosting the music of The Highwaymen. Outlaw country legends Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson will be the focus of the next production.

The Grand Tour Plays The Highwaymen - A Tribute To Willie, Waylon, Johnny and Kris runs February 23 through 25. Tickets are on-sale now.

The Highwaymen was country music's first true supergroup.

This isn't the first time country music has rang loud and proud through the Bangor Opera House. In 2015, Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash delighted country music fans. In 2016 the theatre hosted a tribute to the late, great, George Jones.

The Penobscot Theatre Company is wrapping up a hilarious run of Escanaba in Da Moonlight. The side-splitting comedy was written by Jeff Daniels of Dumb and Dumber fame. The buck hunting tale is set in Escanaba, Michigan. The production wraps up this weekend.
