The death of a man found inside his vehicle in Madison has been ruled a murder.

When Was the Body Discovered?

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says the State Police Major Crimes Unit responded to Madison at approximately 8:00 Saturday night for a report of a deceased man. They were assisting the Somerset County Sheriff's Office in the investigation into the death.

Have Police Identified the Victim?

Officials say Mark Trabue, 57, of Anson was discovered deceased inside his vehicle. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where an autopsy was conducted on Sunday.

 

How Did He Die?

While his cause of death has not been released, the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. Police say there is no threat to the public. This case remains under investigation and additional details are expected to be released at a later date.
