Missing 68-Year-Old Fort Fairfield Man Is Found Deceased
A man who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been located and is deceased.
The Fort Fairfield Man Was Reported Missing in August
Edward Bolstridge was the subject of a Silver Alert, beginning on August 23rd, 2024. The 68-year-old man, who suffered from dementia, was last seen in Westfield, heading north towards Presque Isle in his silver Kia.
Border Patrol Pilots Found the Missing Man's Car Near Allagash Township
Fort Fairfield Police now report that on Monday, September 16th, their department was notified by the U.S. Border Patrol that one of their air units patrolling the northwest border in the North Main Woods had located the vehicle. It was on an old logging road in township T17 R12, West of Allagash Township. Maine Wardens responded to the scene and found Mr. Bolstridge deceased near his vehicle.
Maine Officials are Investigating the Missing Man's Death
This case has been turned over to the Maine Medical Examiner's Office and is being further investigated by the Warden Service.
