A man and a woman from Milo faces drug charges after police stopped their vehicle on the Maine Turnpike in York on Thursday.

Maureen Clark, 43,  was charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs after a police canine found 12 grams of crack cocaine and 12 grams of heroin in the vehicle, according to police. Edwin Marrero, 52, was charged with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. Police say he was in possession of suboxone without a prescription.

Clark and Marrero were summoned on the charges and released at the scene.
