A pedestrian was hit in Milford Wednesday night and Penobscot County officials say they've located the driver.

A Pedestrian was Struck by a Pickup at Freshies on the Run in Milford

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office received a call just before 8:30 Wednesday night from the Freshies on the Run convenience store in Milford that a pedestrian had been struck in the parking lot. Officials say the pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Penobscot County Officials Say the Truck Was Driven By a Woman

Investigators viewed the store's surveillance video and identified the dark-colored pickup truck involved in the incident. The vehicle was driven by a woman who spoke with a man before leaving the parking lot. Authorities say the truck ran over the pedestrian and then continued out of the parking lot The driver never stopped to offer any aid to the victim.

Officials Released Pictures of the Truck, Which Has Since Been Located

 

Pictures of the truck were posted on the Facebook page for the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, as officials asked for the public's help locating the vehicle and the driver. Late Wednesday night, the post on the PCSO's Facebook page was updated, stating that the driver and vehicle had been located. That person's name has not been released. Officials have not commented on whether any charges will be filed.

This incident remains under investigation.
