Messy Monday: Storm to Bring Strong Wind, Rain and Snow to Maine
The first of multiple storms this week with bring strong winds and rain to the Bangor area.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a messy start to the week. A storm Monday will bring primarily rain and strong winds to the Bangor and Downeast areas. Some mixing is expected throughout the morning hours, then changing over to rain by midday. Winds will strengthen throughout the afternoon, with gusts near 50 MPH along the coast.
Areas north of Millinocket could see accumulating snow. Northwestern parts of the state could see as much as half a foot of snow.
Forecasters say Tuesday will remain breezy, with gusty westerly winds expected.
