
Belfast Woman Arrested With Illegal Drugs in Medway Traffic Stop
A Belfast woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Medway.
East Millinocket Police Charged a Belfast Woman With Drug Trafficking
Erin Salmen, 41, of Belfast is charged with several counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs, as well as one count of attaching false plates.
Drugs Were Found in the Vehicle That Was Stopped Because of Illegal Plates
It was around 5:00 on the afternoon of Sunday, October 13th when Officer Knappe of the East Millinocket Police Department stopped a vehicle, driven by Salmen, in Medway because it had falsely attached plates. Several other members of the department assisted in the stop, including Sergeant Clayton and K9 Derby, who alerted to the presence of illegal substances.

The police searched the vehicle and officers located a very large assortment of illegal drugs, including a variety of pills, Suboxone, suspected Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine. Also found were drug paraphernalia and items associated with drug trafficking. Salmen was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
