Massachusetts And Maine Men Arrested On Heroin, Cocaine Charges
Three men from Massachusetts and three men from Maine are facing drug charges after being taken into custody early Friday morning.
The man were arrested at about 4 a.m. after the State Police Tactical Team served a pair of search warrants in the Town of Mexico, Maine, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said in a news release.
The searches took place at mobile homes at 93 and 107 Chase Avenue. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says agents seized heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and $950 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs was $13,000.
Jerry Philogene, 26, of Boston and Peguy Pacouloute, 27, of Mattapan, Massachusetts were arrested and are now facing charges of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Heroin) and aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Cocaine). Derrell "Slim" Weathers, 28, of Boston is charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Heroin).
Travis Tidswell, 41, of Mexico is facing charges of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Heroin) and aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Cocaine). Joshua "Tiny" Campbell, 30, and Glen Lane, 32, both of Mexico, are charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Heroin).
The men were transported to the Oxford County Jail. Philogene, Pacouloute, Tidswell are being held without bail. Bail has been set at $40,000 cash for Weathers, $15,000 cash for Lane and $15,000 cash for Campbell. All six men are expected to appear in court on Monday.
