The Maine Warden Service is asking for the public's help locating a man who went missing Saturday on a snowmobile.

UPDATE - WGME-TV reports Mr. Rogers' body was found on the shoreline near Rangeley Lake. Investigators say alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash that happened as Rogers was going too fast and hit some trees on the shore.

Who is Missing?

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, Stephen Rogers, 43, was last seen in the Oquossoc area of Maine on Saturday, February 18th. At the time that he went missing, Rogers had a loaner snowmobile from Oquossoc Marine. The one pictured here is not the actual sled but similar to this one.

Did You See This Man While Out on the Trails?

Oquossoc is located at the northwestern tip of Rangeley Lake. Officials are hoping that someone may have seen Rogers out on the trails over the weekend or earlier this week, to give them a frame of reference to start searching for him. Ideally, they're hoping to hear from anyone who may have information about where he was going or who may know his whereabouts.

Who Do We Contact With Information?

Anyone who thinks they can help is asked to contact the Maine Warden Service at 207-624-7076.
