Man Accidentally Shot Outside Bangor Restaurant

Bangor Police say a man was accidentally shot as he exited his vehicle outside a local restaurant.

The incident happened just after noon on Sunday. A man, whose identity has not been released, was getting out of his vehicle at a Bangor Mall Boulevard restaurant when a loaded handgun fell to the ground. The gun discharged and shot him in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital. There's no word on how badly he was hurt.

Police told WABI-TV that no charges will be filed.
