Of course, not all postcards are landscapes. Some are funny or silly, and I included a few pictures that reflect that mood, too. Photography is a hobby of mine, and I'm always silently cursing myself for not having my camera with me when I see something interesting to shoot.

Like the other morning, on my way into work, when I saw a beautiful sunrise, ground fog, and a few deer munching on the grass. I didn't have my camera, but I had my phone. The resulting photo wasn't great, but it captured the mood.

We're so lucky in Maine because we have a little bit of everything, from forests and animals to beaches and rocky shorelines. Sometimes, I think we take it for granted, so it's fun to spend a little time appreciating the incredible beauty that is the state of Maine.
