Officials Say He Was Wearing a Life Jacket

National Park personnel located Mr. Webber's body near the Thrumcap, which is a small island near his reported 'put-in' location at Seely Road. He was wearing a life jacket when his body was found. At the last report, his kayak was still missing. Mr. Webber's body was transported to the Bar Harbor town pier, where local EMS personnel pronounced him deceased. An autopsy will now be conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of his death.

Our condolences to his family and friends.
