What's Happening in Corinna?

In Penobscot County, Sheriff's Office personnel spent the day at a home on St. Albans Road in Corinna. Sheriff Troy Morton says when officials entered the residence, they immediately backed out until the building could be secured. Exposed high voltage wires were running throughout the old house and there were chemicals mixed and not secured. Living conditions were reportedly inhumane. There was no comment on whether anyone was arrested.

3,770 illegal marijuana plants were seized as a result of this search.

Morton went on to say that the operation had become a headache to neighbors, who reported seeing out-of-state vehicles coming and going at all hours of the night. Neighbors and other residents told authorities that they have been pressured to sell their homes. Others said they smelled chemicals burning at times and, once, saw something being buried in the yard.
