The remains were found on Saturday afternoon in the Garcelon Bog, located at the end of Russell Street in Lewiston. A person who lived near the bog came across the remains and contacted authorities.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Will Try to ID the Remains

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the remains have been transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for identification and further examination.
