
One Person Was Seriously Hurt When a Pickup Hit a House in Maine
A Massachusetts man suffered life-threatening injuries when his pickup truck struck a house in a Maine town.
The Pickup Truck Hit the Maine House on Wednesday Night
Sean T. Demaggio, 52, of Wilmington, Massachusetts suffered severe injuries in the crash that happened just after 11:00 Wednesday night.
The Oxford County Sheriff's Office reports Demaggio was traveling on Lovell Road in the town of Sweden when he went through an intersection at a high rate of speed. The truck drove into the house, knocking down the chimney and penetrating an exterior wall.
Officials Say the Chimney Landed On the Roof of the Truck
The chimney fell onto the cab of the truck, leaving the driver with life-threatening injuries. Officials say there were no passengers in the pickup truck and no one was in the house at the time of the crash.
Mr. Demaggio was transported by United Ambulance to Bridgton Hospital and then flown by Life Flight helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Oxford County Authorities Say Speed May Have Contributed to the Crash
The investigation continues into this crash, but the Oxford County Sheriff's Office says speed appears to have been a factor.
