Police Allegedly Witnessed Pre-Packaged Fentanyl Being Thrown Out a Window
The arrests are the result of an investigation by the MDEA and Berwick Police into suspected drug trafficking from a single-family residence at 19 Katabel Lane that was prompted by complaints and safety concerns from community members. Berwick Police had been called to the residence more than a dozen times since January 2023 for numerous complaints, including for a report of a suspected homicide in January 2023. During the course of the investigation, undercover agents allegedly made multiple uncover purchases of fentanyl and methamphetamine from Geoffrey, White, Buckley, and St. Yves.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says when law enforcement arrived at the home early Thursday morning to conduct a search, they allegedly witnessed several items being thrown from a window of the home. Those items were later identified as pre-packaged fentanyl meant for resale.
Drugs Seized in the Berwick Search Include Fentanyl and Methamphetamine
Seized in the search were over 140 grams of fentanyl, 10 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and other evidence indicative of illegal drug trafficking. Officials say the approximately value of the seized drugs is $15,000. This investigation is ongoing.
More arrests are expected.
