2 Mainers Arrested in Separate Incidents of Domestic Violence
Sheriff's Deputies dealt with two separate domestic violence situations this week, resulting in 2 arrests.
Maine Deputies Arrest Hermon Man for Domestic Violence
The first incident resulted in the arrest of Timothy Pendleton, 44, of Hermon, who is charged with violation of a protection order, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and domestic violence terrorizing.
It was just before 6:00 on the evening of September 22, 2025, when the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office responded to a call in Hermon that claimed Pendleton was allegedly at a residence, destroying property.

The victim had a court-granted protection order against Pendelton, but it had not yet been served. When deputies arrived, they tried to serve the protection order, but officials say Pendelton refused to accept it.
He then refused to leave the home when instructed to do so and wouldn't surrender to law enforcement after being told of his arrest.
Deputies obtained search and arrest warrants and eventually were able to take Mr. Pendleton into custody.
Maine Deputies Arrest Levant Man on Domestic Violence
In a separate incident, deputies responded to a Levant residence at approximately 4:19 pm on September 23, 2025.
A caller told authorities that Travis Rideout, 36, of Levant, was allegedly acting disorderly at a residence.
Again, the deputies obtained search and arrest warrants after Mr. Rideout refused to surrender to law enforcement.
He's charged with domestic violence and criminal threatening.
