New Hampshire Fatal Crash Claimed the Life of a Maine Man
Martin Osier, 62, of Bremen, Maine died in the crash that happened Monday on I-95 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The details of the 3-vehicle crash are under investigation. Still, New Hampshire State Police say it started when Osier was in the southbound lane of I-95 and his Toyota Camry drifted onto the left shoulder. The car sideswiped a cement barrier before continuing to drive south with at least one tire partially deflated.
Chain-Reaction Crash Started When the Maine Vehicle Stopped in the Travel Lanes
It was about 2 miles south of that initial crash site where, for reasons that remain under investigation, Osier's vehicle stopped in the travel lanes of I-95. Moments later, a Subaru Legacy, driven by Courtney Ramer, 31 of Dover, New Hampshire rear-ended the Camry, pushing it into an adjacent travel lane. At this point, the Camry was struck again from the rear by a Dodge Durango, driven by Colleen Leonard, 56, of Hanson, Massachusetts. Osier's Toyota was left disabled in the travel portion of the interstate, while the Subaru and Dodge rested on the left shoulder, near the center median.
